We are pleased to welcome Francis W. Murray to the South Glens Falls–Town of Moreau Chamber of Commerce! As an author whose heartfelt stories explore faith, friendship, hope, and the bonds between humans and animals, Francis reminds readers of all ages about love, resilience, and compassion.

Francis calls Saratoga, New York home, where he lives with his beloved dogs, Sophie (a Border Collie) and Simba (a Husky).

His latest book, The Day My Dog Went to Heaven, is a tender, faith‑filled coming‑of-age story that follows a boy and his yellow Labrador — a bond that guides him through life’s ups and downs, losses and joys. Through this story, Francis explores grief, healing, and the comforting hope that love endures beyond loss.

Francis writes with a gentle, uplifting voice — his stories aim to comfort hearts, foster empathy, and remind us that sometimes the deepest connections come from the most loyal companions: our pets.
